FOOD MARKET

Italy is well-known for great food and delicious dishes but so far we have found it quite hard to adjust to the food shopping aspect, as the supermarkets are quite different compared to the ones back home. Before I moved out here I didn’t think it would be a concern however I have found myself, on more than one occasion, scouting through the aisles of several supermarkets and not knowing what to buy that I would enjoy eating. It probably doesn’t help that I’m quite a lazy, and not a very good cook.

However I have noticed that the markets tend to be much better for purchasing fresh food like fruit & veg at good prices; and if you’re feeling brave you can always try out new and exciting dishes. They normally have a very adventurous variety of seafood including monkfish, squid and flounder or even horse meat. Alongside that you can purchase pretty much anything from a new dress, bicycle, bin bags and pretty vintage jewellery.
